Weightloss Journey Blog 6
I did not get to exercise today so I am going to do a quick run down of what I ate.
For breakfast I had a chicken salad. I had a plum for a snack. Then since I went with my mother to visit my sister, we went to a restaurant where I had a combination plate of broiled catfish and salmon, steamed veggies, and a baked sweet potato. It was so good. From what I hear from my mother and sister, it probably tasted much better than their fried fish.
For dinner I had another chicken salad- I actually snuck some fries from my son's plate today as well; I forgot to mention that.
The other day I came across an awesome article someone posted about why we struggle to get abs even though we work out a lot called 5 Reasons Why You Can't See Your Abs. Jon Celis, who wrote the blog, is a physical trainer and he worked out his trainees hard, but they still were not gaining abs. After 10 years of fitness training he finally figured out that it did not matter how much they worked out; if they still had a poor diet, their abs would not show.
The article is definitely worth reading in its entirety. But the takeaway here is that you cannot eat fried food, sweets, and an unlimited amount of carbs if you want to have toned and defined abs. I am hoping to take this information and really use it to influence the way that I eat.
