Weightloss Journey Blog 5

It is frustrating when half my blogs say, "today started out well...", that always leaves room for a but at the end. I am tired of the but at the end. Unfortunately, today also has a but at the end.

For breakfast, while my family was eating pizza, I love pizza, I had a sweet potato and salad with some pan cooked chicken on top. After the kids finished their pizza, my husband treated them with some Rita's Italian ice. I tried to pretend that my sweet potato tasted just as good, and really, it did taste good; I need to get some more potatoes.

After breakfast, we left the house to attend some back to school bashes. We wound up going to one at Virginia tech where my daughter had her hair trimmed, and my youngest son received his first hair cut. He did really well; he sat in my husband's arms the whole time and did not move while it was being cut.

While we were out, I had a plum for a snack, then we had some sushi for lunch, my other favorite meal next to pizza and crab legs, then I had an apple for another snack. I'd say overall, including the sushi, I did really well.

Then we took the kids fishing at a lake for a few hours. It was fun, in spite of the heat, and we even caught a few fish which made the trip enjoyable overall.

However, because we stayed out there so late, no one felt like cooking. We wound up going to Panda Express for dinner where I had fried rice, chicken and mushroom, and chicken and green beans. I tried to pick some of their healthier options, but I suppose fried rice, by nature of being fried, is probably not the best thing for someone trying to lose weight.

Someone asked me yesterday when do I do my cheat days and my answer was, EVERYDAY. I am trying to get better about staying on task and on track but it seems like something always comes up to get me off course.
