Weight Loss Journey Blog 2
Monday was my "official" start day to my new weight loss journey where I do not give in to temptation and stay the course. I did really well actually. I had a salad for breakfast and lunch, and then for dinner I made pan seared salmon and sweet potato pancakes. I got the recipe for the pancakes from my Practical Paleo book. The whole family enjoyed them, which is surprising because getting them to eat healthy is like pulling teeth.
Today I decided to go back to my green smoothies. I made one this morning with greens, peaches, a banana, flax seed and stevia. It was pretty good. Then for lunch I had an apple with peanut butter, and an egg. (This was actually supposed to be my snack, but I wound up skipping lunch. I also had a hot dog, just the dog itself because I needed the protein.) Unfortunately I was feeling really sluggish and tired so I wound up getting a white chocolate frappe to help me stay awake, which is why I skipped lunch. Then for dinner I made roasted potatoes with vegetables and turkey sausage.

I cooked the veggies in coconut oil, and my
husband who swears up and down that he hates
coconut said they were the best veggies he ever had.
After the birth of my first son, I started eating according to a Primal/Paleo lifestyle and that really helped me to lose weight. Since I am having such a hard time keeping to the smoothies, I figured I would eat Paleo again. Cutting out wheat, other grains and dairy really helps me to lose weight.
My boys are a couple of the cutest pickiest eaters I have ever met. I have the hardest time getting them to eat vegetables. They love their carbs, and not much else. Tonight though, they ate their vegetables, so dinner was a triple win.
As far as excercise is concerned, I have not done any today, though I may do some situps and pushups before I go to bed. I do not feel too bad about it since yesterday I walked/ran for 30 minutes and then did some weight training along with abs.
