Going Beyond Limits

A friend of mine and his family are doing a 90 day challenge to reach their goals and dreams mentally, spiritually and physically. They have invited me and others to take part. The reason behind the challenge is that we are often given goals and dreams from God that we fail to reach because of our own limitations and doubts. But, instead of letting these dreams go, we are going to work hard for the next 90 days to reach them. Here is the challenge:
Define goals for yourself that have to do with your mind, body, and spirit. These goals should be difficult and go beyond what you think you can do on your own. Once you define your goals, ask God to bless you and provide direction for your path. So, for the next 90 days we are going to passionately seek to reach our goals and dreams with God's help.

We are supposed to post journal entries about our goals and what we are doing to reach them and even our failures. So I will be posting my progress here on 360 Woman, and sharing my links on the page.

I actually have a few goals and dreams I would like to work on. I have already started, but the accountability from others will help me to stay strong. So here are my goals:

1. Physically: I have begun following the Paleo Lifestyle, not completely since I still drink sugar in lemonade and have some sweets every once and a while. But I cut out dairy (I'm nursing and my son has issues with it anyway), I stopped eating grains, especially those with gluten, and I am mostly eating meat, vegetables, fruits and nuts. I will be posting pictures of some of our meals shortly. Today I have also started an exercise routine, Slim and 6, that I will try and do daily.

2. Mentally: I will be working on the book that God placed in my heart to write. My goal is to get 5 pages written every week...(may have to amend this later).

3. Spiritually: I am committing to reading the Bible daily with my family, and in my personal Bible time reading 7 chapters a week. I am also beginning to take more of a leadership role at my church in the youth department. In the past I have run from all sorts of responsibility because I was afraid of dropping the ball. But this time I really want to give it a go and see what God will do in my life.

My prayer is that God will remove my fear of failure and help me to give it my all in striving to reach my goals. It is my hope that this 90 day challenge will kick start an overall change in my life.
