Computer Woes
The browser of the computer I am using to write this post is not actually compatible with blog spot so I am not even sure how well this post will come out. Interestingly enough, that is not even half of my computer problems. Yes, the browser is so outdated that I cannot look at any video or hear any audios on any website. When I try to download Adobe Flash player, or update my current flash player, it doesn't work.
Yesterday I was informed that this weekend we would be getting an upgrade on Microsoft Office. We currently have the 2007 version but on October 26, 2012, when everyone is gone for the day, we will be upgraded to Microfosoft Office Professional 2010. There was an icon on my desktop that said if I wanted to upgrade my computer early, I could click the icon and it would take about 45minutes to download. The download bar suggested doing it during my lunch break or waiting until I was ready to leave for the day. Incidentally there was also a warning saying if I am not familiar with with Office 2010 that I should wait and allow the computer to upgrade on its own during the weekend.
Now, I figured that the upgrade would probably upgrade my browser as well (it didn't). So I decided, why not, I know a good bit about computers, how hard could it be to figure out? Before leaving work yesterday, I clicked on the icon for the upgrade and then left my computer logged in.
This morning, I came to my computer and signed on, it naturally asked me to restart so that all the new things could take affect. So I restarted and guess what, nothing works. I can't open any Word documents, I can't check my e-mail in Office, I can't even open Adobe Reader. The only thing I can do is surf the internet in this outdated browser. How's that for irony?
